Everyone is invited to join us for our annual summer celebration at the All-Church Picnic next Sunday, August 4 after service. There will be picnic food, a bounce house, playground, and space in the shade to sit and visit. We will meet at the Lions Shelter at Sycamore Park, off of Airport Road, next to the playground. Hope to see you there!
Join us after service for an outreach opportunity at the Turning Back Time Car Show in downtown Sycamore. The downtown area will be packed with spectators viewing over 1,000 classic cars and motorcycles, and we’ll be offering bottles of water and invitations to church, as well as engaging people in conversations about Jesus. Listen for an announcement about where to meet after service.
Join us in supporting one of our church members this Saturday evening! Jen Miller Music Collective will be hosting her album release concert at FBC on Saturday night at 6:30pm. This is Jen's first full-length studio album, featuring several local artists and musicians (many familiar FBC faces!) who have come together to create a melodic acoustic collection of songs that hold a light in the dark. Admission is free, children are welcome, and a love offering will be collected.https://www.facebook.com/events/1310111025808272/

Everyone is encouraged to attend a short church business meeting on Sunday, February 24, immediately following the chili cookoff. You do not need to be a church member to attend. The congregation may present names for consideration to fill open board positions.
Recommendation forms for elders, deacons, and board positions are at the Welcome Center. Please return completed forms to an elder or the church office before the February 24 meeting.
Each year FBC sponsors a chili (soup) cook-off. This event is held each year to raise awareness of FBC’s work on the mission field.
Who attends and what does it cost? … Everyone is invited, and it’s FREE! Free-will offerings are accepted and go to support our short-term summer missions programs.
How does the cook-off work? … You’ll need to sign up at the Welcome Center. Just write down your name and indicate whether you’ll bring some type of chili or soup. Your entry does not have to be hot and spicy — it can be plain (like tomato soup), it can be sweet and dessert-like or whatever you want! Then you’ll want to decide on how to best display your chili. Your display can be as simple or as elaborate as you want.
What if we just want to attend but not enter the cook-off? … That’s cool! There will be food available. You can also roam around the fellowship hall and sample each variety of soup and chili.
